Legacy of Blood [Blu-ray]

Legacy of Blood Blu-ray brings the thought-lost theatrical cut of Andy Milligan’s ferocious late-career shocker back from the dead, alongside the alternate television version presented as Legacy of Horror. Hailed as “a quintessential Andy Milligan film,” this loose remake of The Ghastly Ones traps a pack of hysterical relatives inside a decaying mansion for an inheritance showdown fueled by psychic nonsense, familial hatred, and sudden bursts of graphic carnage. Shot in 1970s Staten Island standing in for 19th-century New England, Legacy of Blood Blu-ray captures Milligan at his most abrasive and uncompromising. With original pre-print materials believed destroyed, the complete uncut theatrical version has been newly scanned in 2K from the only known surviving 35mm release print, while the television cut with additional footage is sourced from a vintage video master.
