The Lionheart Blu-ray edition brings one of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s most beloved early action films to collectors in a fully restored, features-loaded release. Van Damme stars as Lyon Gaultier, a French Foreign Legionnaire who deserts his post to reach his injured brother in Los Angeles, only to be pulled into the brutal underground world of bare-knuckle street fighting to raise money for his family. Blending emotional stakes, raw tournament brawls and Van Damme’s trademark athleticism, Lionheart remains a fan-favourite in the martial arts icon’s filmography. Directed by Sheldon Lettich (Double Impact, Bloodsport) and co-written by Van Damme himself, this release delivers both versions of the film and hours of interviews and behind-the-scenes materials.
