Susan Ireland’s fourth wedding anniversary takes an unexpected turn when she learns that her husband, Steve, has spent the evening with a former flame. Determined to divorce him, she starts proceedings. Steve pretends to be mentally ill, hoping to delay the divorce long enough to explain himself and repair their marriage. His scheme takes a different course when Susan has him committed to an asylum. William Powell and Myrna Loy star as the couple, with Steve now facing both an escape and the task of winning Susan back.
