Magnificent Warriors [Blu-ray]

Magnificent Warriors Blu-ray delivers a high-flying, action-packed wartime adventure starring Michelle Yeoh at the height of her early international stardom. Set against the backdrop of World War II, Yeoh plays a wisecracking mercenary pilot armed with a leather jacket, a gun, and a bullwhip, who puts aside personal profit to defend a small town from the invading Japanese army.

Blending aerial dogfights, explosive gunplay, and hand-to-hand combat with sly humour and heroic spectacle, Magnificent Warriors showcases Yeoh’s martial arts prowess, comedic timing, and commanding screen presence. As the town’s citizens rise up with little more than spears and stones against heavily fortified forces, the film builds to a rousing and unforgettable finale.

A spiritual companion to Royal Warriors, this 1987 action classic remains one of Yeoh’s most entertaining early vehicles, combining swashbuckling adventure with large-scale action choreography. This Blu-ray release presents the film in a brand new 2K restoration, complete with interviews and commentary exploring its production and legacy.
