Mary Shelley's Frankenstein Standard Edition [4K Ultra HD]

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein Standard Edition 4K Ultra HD presents Kenneth Branagh’s lavish and faithful adaptation of the Gothic classic in a new 4K restoration from the original camera negatives by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Grand in scale and operatic in emotion, this 1994 retelling returns to the tragic heart of Mary Shelley’s novel.

Obsessed with conquering death, visionary scientist Victor Frankenstein (Kenneth Branagh) pushes the boundaries of morality and science to create life from lifeless flesh. His experiment succeeds — but at a devastating cost. The Creature (Robert De Niro), abandoned and reviled, turns his anguish into vengeance, setting into motion a spiral of grief, obsession and ruin that will destroy everything Victor holds dear.

Featuring a distinguished ensemble cast including Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Hulce, Ian Holm and John Cleese, and underscored by Patrick Doyle’s sweeping score, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein stands as one of the most ambitious and emotionally charged screen interpretations of Shelley’s enduring masterpiece.
