Meridian (Remastered) [Blu-ray]

Meridian Blu-ray presents Charles Band’s 1990 gothic horror romance in a newly remastered high-definition presentation. Starring Sherilyn Fenn in a career-defining genre role, the film blends sensual fantasy, tragic romance, and supernatural menace into a dark fairy tale steeped in medieval curse mythology.

Catherine Bomarzini returns to her family’s Italian castle following her father’s death, only to become ensnared in a dangerous love triangle. One suitor is a man whose charm masks cruelty and obsession; the other is a mysterious creature of the night whose quiet devotion hints at a deeper, purer bond. Guided by her loyal childhood nanny and the ghost of a murdered young girl, Catherine uncovers an ancient curse tied to the castle’s past — one that threatens everyone caught in its grasp.

Moody, erotic, and operatic in tone, Meridian stands apart within the Full Moon catalogue as a romantic horror film driven by atmosphere and emotion rather than excess. Produced by Charles Band and Debra Dion, and featuring supporting performances by Phil Fondacaro and Hilary Mason, the film remains a cult favourite among fans of gothic fantasy and werewolf-adjacent horror.
