Messiah of Evil (Standard Edition) [Blu-ray]

Messiah of Evil Blu-ray delivers a haunting slice of 1970s American horror steeped in dread, isolation, and surreal atmosphere. When a young woman arrives in a sleepy seaside town after receiving disturbing letters from her father, she discovers a community under the grip of a strange cult that weeps tears of blood and craves human flesh. Written and directed by Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz, the acclaimed collaborators behind American Graffiti, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Howard the Duck, this hypnotic cult classic reimagines post–Night of the Living Dead horror through a dreamlike small-town lens. Shot in striking Techniscope, Messiah of Evil echoes the moody elegance of Mario Bava and Hammer horror, earning its reputation over decades as a true word-of-mouth cult favourite, also known as Dead People.
