Mexico Trilogy Blu-ray brings together Robert Rodriguez’s explosive, era-defining action saga in a three-disc collection that traces the rise of one of American cinema’s most influential independent filmmakers. From guerrilla filmmaking ingenuity to full-scale studio spectacle, the trilogy charts Rodriguez’s evolution while maintaining a fiercely personal, hyper-kinetic style.

The journey begins with El Mariachi, Rodriguez’s legendary 1993 debut, shot for a famously microscopic budget and powered by raw invention. A naive musician wanders into a border town and is mistaken for a deadly hitman, triggering a relentless chain of violence that announced a new voice in action cinema. Desperado expands the myth, with Antonio Banderas stepping into the role of the Mariachi as he wages war on the Mexican underworld in a ballet of bullets, guitars, and gunfire. The saga concludes with Once Upon a Time in Mexico, a sprawling, politically charged finale that places the Mariachi at the centre of a bloody struggle for the soul of the nation.

Fast, furious, and bursting with stylistic bravado, the Mexico Trilogy stands as a landmark of modern action filmmaking. This Arrow Video Blu-ray set presents all three films in high definition, accompanied by an extensive archive of commentaries, interviews, featurettes, and short films that offer a deep dive into Rodriguez’s creative process.
