Monster Shark [Blu-ray]

Monster Shark Blu-ray delivers the complete European version of this gloriously unhinged Italian sharksploitation favorite, newly scanned in 4K from the original camera negative and paired with a bonus soundtrack CD. Directed by Lamberto Bava and produced by Sergio Martino, the film boasts a stacked exploitation pedigree both behind and in front of the camera, capped by a thunderous score from Fabio Frizzi.

When mutilated bodies begin washing ashore in a coastal Florida town, an electronics expert teams up with marine biologists to hunt a genetically engineered nightmare — a prehistoric hybrid that is part shark, part octopus, and pure carnage. Starring Michael Sopkiw alongside Gianni Garko, William Berger, and Dagmar Lassander, Monster Shark leans hard into outrageous creature design, wild plot logic, and relentless underwater mayhem, earning its reputation as a true cult oddity within Italian genre cinema.

This release presents the full European cut in its best-ever quality, complete with expert commentary, interviews with key creators, and the first-ever official release of Fabio Frizzi’s score on CD, making it an essential pickup for fans of sharksploitation and creature-feature excess.
