Mortuary [Special Edition] [Blu-ray]

Mortuary Blu-ray delivers a moody early-1980s horror gem where nightmares bleed into waking life. Christie Parson has been plagued by terrifying dreams since the apparent drowning of her father in the family pool. Certain his death was no accident, she struggles to convince anyone—until her boyfriend witnesses the same hooded figures from her nightmares lurking inside the town mortuary. As curiosity turns to obsession, the pair are pulled into a chilling web of ritual, deception, and buried secrets that lead to a grim revelation about what truly happened to Christie’s father.

Starring real-life couple Lynda Day George and Christopher George alongside Mary McDonough and a young Bill Paxton, Mortuary blends dream logic, suburban unease, and occult-tinged mystery into a distinctly eerie experience. Director Howard Avedis crafts a slow-burn atmosphere driven by creeping dread rather than shock, anchored by John Cacavas’s unsettling score. This special edition Blu-ray presents the film in a high-definition restoration with archival extras for fans of classic ’80s horror.
