Motel Drive [Blu-ray]

Motel Drive Blu-ray presents a powerful and deeply human documentary examining housing insecurity, displacement and the fragile stability of life lived on society’s margins.

Set along a row of aging motels in Fresno, California, the film centres on the Shaw family as they navigate addiction, financial precarity and the daily struggle to create a secure life while raising a young child. As the arrival of the California High-Speed Rail threatens to upend the community entirely, the film expands into a broader portrait of systemic inequality and the human cost of development.

Filmed over seven years, director Brendan Geraghty brings patience and empathy to a story shaped by hardship and resilience, creating a documentary that is both intimate and socially urgent.
