My Heart Is That Eternal Rose Standard Edition (UK Import) [Region B Blu-ray]

My Heart Is That Eternal Rose Standard Edition Blu-ray presents Patrick Tam’s 1989 Hong Kong New Wave crime romance in a UK import Region B release from Radiance. Shot by Christopher Doyle and starring Tony Leung and Kenny Bee, the film blends doomed romance, underworld danger and Heroic Bloodshed style.

A young couple is torn apart after a botched Triad job forces Rick to flee to the Philippines, while Lap is left behind and becomes tied to a gangster. Six years later, they meet again, but their reunion reopens the danger and betrayal that separated them in the first place.

Stylish, melancholic and emotionally charged, My Heart Is That Eternal Rose is a key work from Patrick Tam, an influential Hong Kong filmmaker and mentor to Wong Kar-wai. This Standard Edition includes a 2K restoration, commentary, visual essay, interview, Patrick Tam’s Dawn Noon, Dusk Night episode of C.I.D., trailer and improved English subtitles.
