Mysterious Skin 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Gregg Araki’s acclaimed 2004 drama in a Region Free Australian import release. Based on Scott Heim’s novel, the film follows Brian Lackey, a troubled young man haunted by missing time from his childhood and convinced he may have experienced an alien abduction.

Neil McCormick, meanwhile, carries memories Brian cannot access, living as a beautiful outsider whose own path has become increasingly dangerous. As Brian searches for answers and Neil is drawn toward New York City, their separate journeys slowly converge around a devastating shared truth.

Tender, disturbing and emotionally direct, Mysterious Skin is one of Araki’s most powerful films, exploring trauma, memory, identity and survival through two very different lives shaped by the same buried past. This Region Free Australian import edition includes commentary, director introduction, deleted scenes, audition tapes, new featurettes, archival interviews, festival Q&A material, book reading and trailer.
