Nasty Habits: The Nunsploitation Collection [Blu-ray]

The Nasty Habits Blu-ray collection gathers four uncut Italian nunsploitation classics from the 1970s and early ’80s, showcasing the genre’s most provocative blend of sacrilege, erotic obsession and moral collapse. Cristiana Devil Nun (1972) follows a troubled young woman whose attempted redemption spirals into possession and forbidden desire. Story of a Cloistered Nun (1973) presents a historically grounded tale of scandal and cruelty within a convent hierarchy. Images in a Convent (1979) pushes the sub-genre into extreme territory with Joe D’Amato’s trademark mix of transgression and hysteria. The True Story of the Nun of Monza (1980) adapts the infamous real-life scandal of Sister Virginia Maria, rendered with Bruno Mattei’s signature exploitation energy. Fully restored and featuring hours of interviews, essays and archival content, this collection is a definitive exploration of cinema’s most controversial religious cycle.
