Ninja Wars [Blu-ray]

Ninja Wars Blu-ray brings the cult Japanese fantasy-action classic to home video in a definitive edition packed with new bonus features. Directed by Kosei Saito and starring Sonny Chiba and Hiroyuki Sanada, this dark supernatural adventure combines ninja action, horror and fantasy into one of the most distinctive Japanese genre films of the 1980s.

Set in feudal Japan, the story follows wandering ninja Jotaro as he becomes entangled in a deadly conflict between rival clans after a brutal massacre wipes out his comrades. His investigation uncovers a sinister conspiracy involving a demonic sect seeking power through forbidden rituals and supernatural forces. Joined by a mysterious woman driven by vengeance, Jotaro must battle increasingly terrifying enemies as he fights to stop the dark powers threatening to consume the land.

Known for its stylized action, eerie atmosphere and imaginative supernatural elements, Ninja Wars remains a standout entry in Japanese fantasy cinema and features early performances from both Sonny Chiba and future international star Hiroyuki Sanada.
