Noroi, The Curse (2005) Standard Edition (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Noroi, The Curse (2005) Standard Edition Blu-ray presents one of the most acclaimed and unsettling Japanese horror films of the 21st century. Directed by Kôji Shiraishi, this influential found-footage nightmare blends documentary realism, folklore and supernatural terror into a slow-burning mystery that has become a modern cult classic among horror fans worldwide.

When prominent paranormal journalist Masafumi Kobayashi disappears shortly after completing a documentary investigation, the footage he leaves behind begins to reveal a disturbing chain of events. What starts as an inquiry into unexplained noises and strange occurrences gradually uncovers a terrifying mystery connected to an ancient demonic entity known as Kagutaba.

Presented as a recovered documentary assembled from interviews, television broadcasts and eyewitness accounts, Noroi creates an atmosphere of mounting dread and paranoia that has earned it a reputation as one of the most effective and influential horror mockumentaries ever made.
