Nosferatu in Venice [Blu-ray]

Nosferatu in Venice Blu-ray presents one of Eurocult cinema’s most notorious productions, scanned in 2K from the original negative. Intended as an unofficial sequel to Werner Herzog’s Nosferatu, the film instead became a chaotic cult curiosity, driven by Klaus Kinski’s penultimate screen performance as the resurrected vampire Count Dracula, stalking the canals of modern-day Venice.

With co-stars Donald Pleasence and Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer, and a haunting score by Vangelis, Nosferatu in Venice blends gothic excess, erotic horror and behind-the-scenes infamy into one of the strangest vampire films of the 1980s. Employing multiple directors during its troubled production, the film remains a fascinating piece of genre history and a must-see for cult horror collectors.
