Planet of the Vampires Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Mario Bava’s landmark 1965 sci-fi horror classic in a new 4K restoration from the original negative. Blending deep-space mystery, gothic atmosphere and eerie possession horror, the film remains one of the most influential genre hybrids of its era.

In the outer reaches of space, the spaceship Galliott responds to a distress signal from Aura, an unexplored planet. As the crew attempts to land, something strange takes hold, causing members of the expedition to turn violently against one another.

What begins as a rescue mission becomes a terrifying journey into paranoia, possession and the unknown, as the planet’s mysterious inhabitants reveal a deadly power over the explorers. Widely cited for its influence on later sci-fi horror classics, Planet of the Vampires remains a masterclass in atmosphere, production design and low-budget visual imagination.
