Play It Again, Sam (1972) Limited Edition (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Play It Again, Sam (1972) Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Herbert Ross’s 1972 romantic comedy in an Australian import region free release. Based on Woody Allen’s hit Broadway play, the film stars Allen as Allan Felix, a recently divorced film critic whose romantic insecurity is complicated by imagined advice from Humphrey Bogart’s Casablanca character Rick Blaine.

As Allan tries to rebuild his confidence and re-enter the dating world, his friends Linda and Dick offer help, encouragement and complications of their own. What follows is a witty, film-loving comedy about heartbreak, fantasy, friendship and the gap between screen romance and real life.

Starring Woody Allen, Diane Keaton, Tony Roberts, Jerry Lacy and Susan Anspach, Play It Again, Sam marks the beginning of Allen and Keaton’s long-running screen collaboration. This Limited Edition Blu-ray marks the film’s worldwide first Blu-ray release and includes a new 4K scan, new commentary, Robert B. Weide’s feature documentary Woody Allen: A Documentary, bonus documentary extras, English mono audio and limited slipcase packaging.
