Police Python 357 [Standard Edition] [Blu-ray]

Police Python 357 Blu-ray brings Alain Corneau’s cool, fatalistic crime thriller to high definition for the first time. Starring Yves Montand in one of his most hard-edged performances, the film follows a seasoned police inspector whose life collapses when his secret lover is found murdered. As suspicion tightens around him, he is drawn into a dangerous psychological duel with a powerful rival, blurring the line between hunter and hunted.

Adapted from Kenneth Fearing’s novel The Big Clock, Police Python 357 reworks classic noir themes through a distinctly European lens, fusing procedural tension with moral ambiguity and emotional restraint. Corneau’s direction emphasizes atmosphere over spectacle, building a slow-burning sense of inevitability that places the film alongside 1970s crime classics like Serpico and The French Connection. This Radiance standard edition presents the film in a new high-definition transfer with thoughtful contextual supplements examining its literary origins and production history.
