Seventeen theatrical shorts from 1948 and 1949 complete this collection's journey through Popeye's 1940s adventures. Popeye and Olive visit settings ranging from prehistoric times and ancient Greece to Sherwood Forest and the Old West, while Bluto returns in a succession of rival roles. Other stories pit the sailor against troublesome animals and his spinach-resistant nephews, and see Olive run for president. The restored collection includes cartoons originally made using different colour processes.
