Richard Pryor takes the stage in a concert performance filmed on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. Moving between personal stories and sharp observations, he discusses relationships, travel, the law and encounters with mobsters, as well as the drug use that nearly ended his life. His material turns painful experiences into comedy while revealing the vulnerability behind his celebrated stage persona. Joe Layton directs this portrait of Pryor performing before a live audience.
