Rider on the Rain [4K Ultra HD]

Rider on the Rain 4K Ultra HD presents a stylish and psychologically tense thriller from René Clément, blending mystery, crime and emotional intensity against the backdrop of the South of France.

After a traumatic encounter with a masked assailant, a young woman (Marlène Jobert) makes a split-second decision that sets everything in motion, disposing of the body rather than facing the consequences. What follows is a slow unraveling of control as an enigmatic American investigator (Charles Bronson) enters her life, seemingly aware of every detail she’s trying to hide. Their uneasy dynamic drives the film forward, balancing suspicion, manipulation and shifting power.

Anchored by strong performances and a haunting score by Francis Lai, the film builds a constant sense of unease, where truth and motive remain just out of reach. Presented here in both the American and French cuts, this 4K release highlights the film’s visual atmosphere and narrative complexity.
