Saurians (Collector's Edition) [Blu-ray]

Saurians Blu-ray captures the raw, homespun energy of grassroots Super 8 filmmaking at its most sincere and unapologetic. When a routine construction blast rattles a quiet town, two prehistoric creatures are accidentally awakened from a centuries-long slumber, unleashing low-budget dinosaur chaos in the surrounding woods. What follows is a charmingly unpolished monster romp fueled by handmade effects, stop-motion animation, and the sheer determination of DIY filmmaking.

Directed by Mark Polonia, Saurians stands as a blue-collar counterpoint to big-budget dinosaur spectacles of the early 1990s, distilling prehistoric fantasy down to puppetry, imagination, and family-and-friends collaboration. Assembled with visible seams and boundless enthusiasm, the film radiates a scrappy sincerity that CGI blockbusters can’t replicate. This collector’s edition also includes the bonus SOV feature film The Dinosaur Chronicles (2004), expanding the release into a celebration of Polonia’s grassroots monster cinema legacy.
