Savage Guns: Four Classic Westerns Volume 3 [Blu-ray]

Savage Guns Volume 3 Blu-ray delivers four later-period Italian westerns where the genre’s trademark cynicism hardens into outright nihilism. Set against a backdrop of political unrest and social collapse, these films push revenge, betrayal, and brutality to their extremes, capturing the spaghetti western at its bleakest and most confrontational.

Paolo Bianchini’s I Want Him Dead stars Craig Hill as a former Confederate soldier driven by personal vengeance, only to become entangled in a conspiracy threatening fragile postwar peace. In El Puro, Robert Woods gives one of his most powerful performances as a legendary gunfighter forced back into violence after bounty hunters destroy his chance at redemption. Mario Camus’ Wrath of the Wind reveals a darker side of Terence Hill, playing a hired killer whose conscience awakens amid labour unrest and ruthless landowners. The set concludes with Lucio Fulci’s savage The Four of the Apocalypse, where Fabio Testi and Tomas Milian lead a quartet of outcasts on a nightmarish odyssey of torture, degradation, and revenge that stands among the most uncompromising westerns ever made.

Lavishly restored and packed with multiple cuts, commentaries, and archival material, this four-disc collection showcases the spaghetti western at the moment it turned inward and vicious, confronting violence not as myth but as inevitability. Arrow Video presents Savage Guns Volume 3 as a definitive collector’s edition, following earlier volumes that sold out rapidly upon release.
