Screaming Mimi (1958) Limited Edition (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Screaming Mimi 1958 Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Gerd Oswald’s wild film noir in its worldwide Blu-ray debut from Imprint. Based on Fredric Brown’s novel of the same name, the film stars Anita Ekberg and famed burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee in a lurid, offbeat mystery of obsession, trauma and control.

After Virginia Wilson witnesses a man being shot moments after he tries to kill her, she turns to psychiatrist Dr. Greenwood for help. But Greenwood becomes dangerously fixated on her, taking over her life while she continues her career as a nightclub performer.

Strange, stylish and psychologically charged, Screaming Mimi is a distinctive slice of 1950s noir later loosely remade by Dario Argento as The Bird with the Crystal Plumage. This Limited Edition Australian import includes a 1080p Blu-ray presentation, theatrical trailer and English HOH subtitles, limited to 1,500 copies.
