Skinned Deep [Blu-ray]

Skinned Deep Blu-ray presents the deranged feature debut from legendary FX artist Gabe Bartalos, whose mind-blowing work includes Frank Henenlotter’s Brain Damage and Frankenhooker as well as Matthew Barney’s Cremaster Cycle. For his 2004 debut as writer, producer, and director, Bartalos delivered what Bloody Good Horror called a “demented gift from the B-Movie Gods,” following a rural clan of psychotic freaks on a killing spree that Dread Central says “takes us places and shows us things we’ve never seen before.” Warwick Davis (Leprechaun) and Jason Dugre (Saint Bernard) star, alongside a memorable appearance by fandom icon Forrest J. Ackerman, in this brutal, bloody cult oddity featuring music by Captain Sensible of The Damned. Newly scanned uncut in 2K from the original negative, Skinned Deep finally gets the definitive Blu-ray presentation it deserves.
