Spike of Bensonhurst [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Spike of Bensonhurst 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray makes its worldwide debut in a new restoration from the original 35mm camera negative. Directed by legendary New York filmmaker Paul Morrissey, this offbeat comedy blends mafia satire, neighbourhood rivalries and underdog charm into a uniquely entertaining slice of late-1980s Brooklyn life.

Spike Fumo dreams of becoming a successful boxer and escaping the disappointments that have defined his family's life. When he begins a romance with the daughter of local mob boss Baldo Cacetti, Spike finds himself on the wrong side of one of Brooklyn's most powerful figures. Banished from Bensonhurst and forced into unfamiliar territory, he must figure out how to rebuild his life while staying true to himself.

Featuring memorable performances from Sasha Mitchell, Ernest Borgnine and Maria Pitillo, Spike of Bensonhurst is a funny and affectionate send-up of New York's Italian-American communities, packed with colourful characters and sharp humour.
