Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter And Spring (2003) (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Spring Summer Fall Winter And Spring 2003 Blu-ray presents Kim Ki-duk’s acclaimed Korean drama, a visually striking meditation on life, spirituality, desire and redemption. Set almost entirely around a secluded Buddhist monastery floating on a mountain lake, the film follows the changing relationship between an elderly monk and his young pupil across the passing seasons.

Under the watchful guidance of the Old Monk, the Young Monk moves from childhood innocence into adulthood, experiencing cruelty, love, jealousy, loss and the consequences of his actions. Each season marks another stage of his life as experience gradually replaces innocence and the cycle begins again.

Combining minimal dialogue with serene natural imagery and emotionally complex storytelling, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter And Spring became one of Kim Ki-duk’s most internationally acclaimed films. This Australian import Blu-ray includes a 1080p presentation, new commentary and video essay, behind-the-scenes material, premiere interviews and the original trailer.
