Story Of A Cloistered Nun [Blu-ray]

The Story Of A Cloistered Nun Blu-ray marks the North American Blu-ray premiere of one of the most notorious and influential entries in Italian nunsploitation cinema. Directed and co-written by Domenico Paolella, who helped define the genre with The Nuns of Saint Archangel, Story Of A Cloistered Nun is adapted from alleged 17th-century chronicles and pushes the form to new extremes of style and provocation. Forced into a convent by her aristocratic parents, a young noblewoman is exposed to a rigid world of religious hypocrisy that conceals cruelty, obsession, forbidden desire and violence. Starring Eleonora Giorgi, Suzy Kendall, Catherine Spaak, Martine Brochard and Umberto Orsini, Story Of A Cloistered Nun Blu-ray presents this lurid cult classic in a new 2K scan from the original negative, preserving its reputation as both exploitation cinema and historical shock document.
