Strange Circus Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Sion Sono’s surreal psychological mystery in a director-approved special edition from New Wave Video. Blending dreamlike imagery, fractured identity and dark family secrets, the film moves between reality, memory and fiction as its central mystery becomes increasingly unstable.
When a mysterious writer begins crafting a troubling novel about a young girl named Mitsuko, the boundaries between author, character and lived experience start to collapse. As the story deepens, Strange Circus becomes a haunting and disorienting exploration of trauma, performance and hidden truths.
Provocative, stylish and deeply unsettling, Strange Circus stands as one of Sion Sono’s most memorable cult films. This Australian import limited edition includes a high-definition presentation, new interviews, a new video essay, legacy making-of documentary, booklet, new design, theatrical artwork and slipcover packaging.
