Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary (Standard Edition) (Australian Import) [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Super Mario Bros. 4K Ultra HD storms back onto the screen in a brand new restoration from the original camera negative, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the cult-favourite 1993 sci-fi adaptation. Lavish, bizarre and endlessly ambitious, this live-action take on Nintendo’s iconic game has evolved into a full-blown cult phenomenon, cherished for its wild production design, creature effects and unapologetically strange vision of “Dinohattan.”

When two Brooklyn plumbers stumble into a parallel universe ruled by a tyrannical reptilian dictator, the fate of two dimensions hangs in the balance. Mario (Bob Hoskins) and Luigi (John Leguizamo) must rescue Princess Daisy and battle President Koopa (Dennis Hopper) in a dystopian metropolis where dinosaurs evolved into humanoids. Packed with elaborate sets, animatronic creatures and offbeat humour, SUPER MARIO BROS. remains one of the most audacious video game adaptations ever attempted.

This 2-disc 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Standard Edition from Umbrella Entertainment features the film newly restored in 4K alongside an expansive collection of archival and newly produced bonus material.

Note: The feature film is included on the 4K Ultra HD disc only. The Blu-ray disc contains bonus features.
