Sweet Sixteen [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Sweet Sixteen 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Jim Sotos’ 1983 slasher in its UHD world premiere from Vinegar Syndrome. Set in the small Texas town of Sun Valley, the film follows Melissa, a new girl whose arrival quickly draws attention from the local boys and men.

When the boys connected to Melissa start turning up dead in a series of knife attacks, Sheriff Dan Burke is pulled into a tense investigation with help from his mystery-loving daughter, Marci. As fear spreads through the town and suspicion turns dangerously toward the local Native American community, Burke must uncover the truth before more bodies are found.

Arriving near the end of the slasher boom, Sweet Sixteen features a stacked genre cast including Bo Hopkins, Susan Strasberg, Patrick Macnee, Don Stroud, Dana Kimmell and Don Shanks. This limited 2-disc release includes the theatrical and international cuts on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray, newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative, with Dolby Vision, commentaries, new interviews, archival extras, trailer, still gallery, reversible sleeve artwork, booklet and limited spot gloss hard slipcase + slipcover packaging.
