Tchao Pantin Blu-ray presents Claude Berri’s rain-soaked neo-noir, newly restored in 4K and released for the first time outside France. Set in the 18th Arrondissement of Paris, the film follows small-time drug pusher Bensoussan (Richard Anconina) and his unlikely friendship with night-shift petrol station manager Lambert (Coluche). As their bond deepens, violence and responsibility collide in a fatalistic tale of loyalty and revenge.
Slickly photographed by Bruno Nuytten, and anchored by tender, award-winning performances from its two leads, Tchao Pantin became a box office smash in France and a major winner at the César Awards. Radiance Films presents this landmark of 1980s French cinema in a new 4K restoration approved by Nuytten.
