Ted: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

Before the events of the Ted films, teenage John Bennett is growing up in 1990s Framingham, Massachusetts, with a talking teddy bear for a best friend. Ted’s celebrity days are behind him, and life with John now means school bullies, first dates, marijuana and the awkward business of adolescence. Seth MacFarlane voices Ted, with Max Burkholder playing the younger John.

Their misadventures unfold inside the Bennett family’s working-class home. John’s father Matty expects to be in charge, his mother Susan puts caring for her family above everything else, and his outspoken college-student cousin Blaire frequently challenges Matty’s traditional views. Beginning in 1993 and continuing into John’s senior year in 1994, the prequel follows Ted and John through high school and family friction. Ted is hardly a responsible role model, but he remains fiercely loyal to his best friend.
