Teddy, Out of Tune [Blu-ray]

Teddy, Out of Tune Blu-ray presents a quiet, lo-fi road film that captures grief, distance, and human connection through the rhythms of DIY cinema. Directed by Daniel Freeman, the film blends deadpan humour with emotional sincerity, embracing the small moments that define low-budget, character-driven storytelling.

With a piano strapped to the back of his pickup truck, a nomadic street musician sets out on a 2,000-mile drive from the United States to Canada to scatter his mother’s ashes. Along the way, chance encounters, roadside performances, and long stretches of solitude turn the journey into a meditation on loss, memory, and the fragile comfort of movement.

Produced within the NoBudge ecosystem, Teddy, Out of Tune reflects the label’s commitment to personal filmmaking and unpolished authenticity. This Blu-ray release presents the film alongside short works and supplemental material that deepen its intimate portrait of an artist in transit.
