The Accidental Getaway Driver [Blu-ray]

The Accidental Getaway Driver Blu-ray presents a tense, character-driven thriller from director Sing J. Lee, inspired by a real-life incident and anchored by quiet, escalating dread. Told largely in confined spaces, the film explores chance, survival, and unexpected human connection under extreme pressure.

During what should be a routine ride, an elderly Vietnamese cab driver is suddenly taken hostage by three escaped convicts. As the hours stretch on and the situation grows more volatile, cultural barriers, fear, and desperation collide, forcing all involved into an uneasy and unpredictable journey. The film unfolds with restraint, focusing less on spectacle and more on emotional stakes and moral uncertainty.

Praised for its performances and controlled direction, The Accidental Getaway Driver stands out as a modern thriller rooted in realism and empathy. This Blu-ray release from Utopia marks the film’s arrival on home video with collectible packaging and supplemental material.
