The African Queen (UK Import) [4K Ultra HD + Region B Blu-ray]

The African Queen 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents John Huston’s timeless adventure, pairing Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn in one of cinema’s most iconic on-screen duos.

Set during World War I, the story follows rough-edged riverboat captain Charlie Allnut (Bogart) and prim missionary Rose Sayer (Hepburn), thrown together after a devastating attack destroys her village. Forced to travel down a dangerous African river, their clashing personalities quickly give way to mutual respect, resilience and ultimately romance. As they navigate treacherous waters and enemy territory, their journey becomes both a fight for survival and a daring mission against a German gunboat.

Driven by sharp character interplay and a balance of tension, humour and emotion, the film remains a standout of classic Hollywood storytelling, anchored by Bogart’s Academy Award-winning performance and Huston’s assured direction.
