The Banished [Blu-ray]

The Banished Blu-ray delivers a stark, atmospheric survival horror that blends psychological dread with the unforgiving menace of the wilderness. Directed by Joseph Sims-Dennett, the film unfolds with deliberate tension, focusing on isolation, grief, and the slow encroachment of something far darker than the natural world.

After her brother vanishes without a trace, Grace sets out alone into a remote and hostile landscape in search of answers. As she pushes deeper into the wild, clues surrounding his disappearance reveal a terrifying truth, forcing her to confront an unseen presence that threatens not only her mission, but her sanity and survival. The film’s restrained approach builds unease through environment and performance rather than spectacle.

Anchored by a committed central performance from Meg Clarke, The Banished is a lean and unsettling genre entry that rewards patience and atmosphere. Brainstorm Media presents the film on Blu-ray with filmmaker commentary and a limited edition slipcover.
