The Black Cat [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

The Black Cat 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Lucio Fulci’s 1981 gothic horror film in a 3-disc region free collection from Severin Films. Made between City of the Living Dead and The Beyond, the film finds Fulci drawing from Edgar Allan Poe for an eerie tale of supernatural obsession, rural unease and sinister feline influence.

In a quiet English village, a professor obsessed with the supernatural begins to lose his grip on reality, while his black cat appears connected to a series of strange and deadly incidents. As suspicion spreads through the village, the film builds an atmosphere of dread, paranoia and gothic mystery.

Starring Patrick Magee in his final lead role, alongside Mimsy Farmer, David Warbeck, Al Cliver and Dagmar Lassander, The Black Cat features cinematography by Sergio Salvati, effects by Paolo Ricci and music by Pino Donaggio. This worldwide UHD premiere has been newly restored and scanned in 4K from the original camera negative, with over 3 hours of special features.
