The Cassandra Crossing Limited Edition Blu-ray presents George P. Cosmatos’ 1976 all-star disaster thriller in a region free Australian import release. Produced by Carlo Ponti and Lord Lew Grade, the film combines Cold War conspiracy, biological threat suspense and large-scale train disaster spectacle.

When a man infected with a U.S.-made biological weapon escapes onto a passenger train bound for Sweden, the Transcontinental Express becomes a sealed trap carrying nearly one thousand people across Europe. Among the passengers are a famous neurologist, his author ex-wife, a Holocaust survivor, an arms dealer’s wife, a young trafficker and the undercover Interpol agent pursuing him.

As the U.S. government attempts to contain the outbreak and hide its own involvement, the passengers’ lives become expendable in a deadly political cover-up. Featuring Sophia Loren, Richard Harris, Burt Lancaster, Martin Sheen, Lee Strasberg, O.J. Simpson and Ava Gardner, The Cassandra Crossing delivers tense disaster-movie thrills with a score by Jerry Goldsmith and European location photography by Ennio Guarnieri.
