The Cat O Nine Tails Standard Edition [4K Ultra HD]

The Cat O Nine Tails Standard Edition 4K Ultra HD presents Dario Argento’s gripping second feature in a 4K restoration from the original negative by Arrow Films. A key entry in Argento’s “Animal Trilogy,” this stylish and suspenseful giallo further refined the director’s signature blend of mystery, atmosphere and shocking violence.

When a break-in occurs at a secretive genetics institute, blind puzzle-maker Franco Arnò (Karl Malden) recalls overhearing an attempted blackmail involving one of its scientists. Teaming up with journalist Carlo Giordani (James Franciscus), Arnò begins investigating what initially appears to be corporate espionage. But as witnesses and suspects begin turning up dead, the pair find themselves entangled in a deadly conspiracy that places Arnò’s young niece Lori (Cinzia De Carolis) in grave danger.

Co-starring Catherine Spaak and Rada Rassimov, and driven by a nerve-jangling score from Ennio Morricone, The Cat O Nine Tails is a masterclass in escalating tension and one of Argento’s most underrated thrillers.
