The Cheat (La Triche) [Blu-ray]

The Cheat (La Triche) Blu-ray presents Yannick Bellon's acclaimed French neo-noir in a new HD restoration for its first major U.S. home video release. Blending crime, psychological drama and queer cinema, this compelling thriller explores desire, identity and moral compromise against the backdrop of a murder investigation.

When a murder linked to a queer nightclub rocks the city of Bordeaux, a married police inspector becomes deeply involved with a handsome young musician who is also a prime suspect in the case. As the investigation intensifies, his growing attraction threatens both his marriage and his professional integrity, blurring the line between detective and suspect in a tense, emotionally charged search for the truth.

Anchored by powerful performances and Yannick Bellon's thoughtful direction, The Cheat remains a significant work of French queer cinema, combining noir suspense with an intimate character study.
