The Counsellor (UK Import) [4K Ultra HD]

The Counsellor UK Import 4K Ultra HD delivers a stylish and violent slice of Italian gangster cinema from director Alberto De Martino, blending American mob movie traditions with the hard-edged brutality of 1970s Euro-crime filmmaking.

Martin Balsam stars as aging San Francisco crime boss Don Antonio, whose criminal empire begins to fracture when his godson and trusted associate, played by Tomás Milián, asks to leave the organisation behind. Bound by tradition and “the code,” the decision ignites a deadly power struggle involving rival factions, betrayal, and escalating bloodshed led by ruthless underboss Garofalo.

Driven by tense performances and underworld paranoia, The Counsellor stands as a gritty mafia thriller shaped by both Hollywood crime epics and the explosive energy of Italian poliziotteschi cinema.
