The Criminal Life of Archibaldo de la Cruz [Blu-ray]

As a child, Archibaldo de la Cruz is told that a family music box can bring death to an enemy. When his governess is killed by a stray bullet just after he wishes her dead, he becomes convinced that he possesses a terrible power. Years later, the wealthy Archibaldo remains consumed by fantasies of murder. Yet every attempt to turn those fantasies into action is frustrated by coincidence or outside intervention, leaving him to confront the gap between the crimes he imagines and the acts he can actually commit. Luis Buñuel blends macabre humour with a portrait of obsession in this Mexican black comedy.
