The First Deadly Sin [Blu-ray]

The First Deadly Sin Blu-ray presents Brian G. Hutton’s 1980 neo-noir crime thriller in a Region A limited edition release from Vinegar Syndrome Labs. Starring Frank Sinatra in his final leading film role, the film follows a veteran NYPD detective facing retirement, personal loss and one last difficult case in a grimy New York City that feels increasingly broken.

Detective Sergeant Edward X. Delaney has only weeks left before leaving the force. With his wife critically ill and the department eager to move on, Delaney becomes consumed by a series of Manhattan killings that no one else seems determined to solve.

Downbeat, gritty and atmospheric, The First Deadly Sin adapts Lawrence Sanders’ bestselling novel into a moody 1980s police thriller with supporting performances from Faye Dunaway, James Whitmore, Brenda Vaccaro and Joe Spinell. This Blu-ray edition includes a new 4K scan and restoration, new interviews, featurettes, trailer, still gallery, reversible sleeve artwork and limited edition spot gloss slipcover.
