Rankin/Bass brings Peter Dickinson’s world of dragons to life in an animated fantasy set in a magical Dark Age. The Red Wizard Ommadon threatens the natural world, and the Green Wizard Carolinus looks to the future for help. He summons Peter, a twentieth-century man of science, to capture Ommadon’s powerful Red Crown. Joined by a fire-breathing dragon, an outlaw elf and a noble knight, Peter must use modern logic against an ancient evil. John Ritter, Harry Morgan, James Earl Jones, James Gregory, Victor Buono and Larry Storch provide the voices.
