The Front Blu-ray presents Martin Ritt’s poignant drama in a 4K restoration from the original negative. Set during the Hollywood blacklist era of the early 1950s, the film follows a small-time cashier who agrees to “front” for blacklisted television writers — only to find himself drawn into the moral and personal consequences of the political witch hunts.
A moving and quietly powerful examination of artistic freedom and conscience, The Front stands as a deeply personal work shaped by filmmakers who experienced the blacklist firsthand.
directed by: Martin Ritt
