The General 4K Ultra HD presents Buster Keaton’s silent-era masterpiece in a stunning 4K digital restoration with Dolby Vision HDR. Co-directed, co-written, co-produced, and starring Keaton, this 1926 classic blends breathtaking large-scale stunt work with precision-engineered slapstick, culminating in one of the most celebrated chase sequences in cinema history.

Railroad engineer Johnnie Gray loves two things: his sweetheart Annabelle Lee and his prized locomotive, The General. When the Civil War erupts, Johnnie is rejected by the Confederate Army and rejected by Annabelle. But when Union spies steal his train and inadvertently kidnap her, he embarks on a daring solo pursuit across enemy lines — delivering escalating physical comedy and astonishing practical spectacle that remains jaw-dropping nearly a century later.

Presented on 4K UHD for the first time in the UK by the Masters of Cinema series, The General stands among the greatest achievements of silent cinema.
