The Glassworker [Blu-ray]

The Glassworker Blu-ray presents a visually striking animated drama that explores love, art, and moral conviction against the backdrop of war. Directed by Usman Riaz, the film blends hand-crafted animation with an intimate coming-of-age story, emphasizing the emotional cost of conflict on personal ideals and human connection.

Set in a town shaped by tradition and discipline, the story follows a young glassblower whose orderly world is disrupted by the arrival of a gifted violinist and her father. As war looms and tensions rise, their presence challenges his beliefs about duty, creativity, and loyalty, forcing him to confront the fragile balance between inheritance and self-determination.

Praised for its artistry and sincerity, The Glassworker stands as a rare example of independent animated filmmaking with global resonance. Watermelon Pictures brings the film to Blu-ray with supplemental material and a limited edition slipcover.
